1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use the Clean That Carpet website, request a quote or arrange a cleaning service with us. Please read them before confirming a booking. They do not limit any rights that you have under consumer law.
Clean That Carpet is based at 31 Lee Road, London, NW7 1LJ. You can contact us at info@cleanthatcarpet.co.uk or on 020 3837 4903.
2. Website information
We take reasonable care with the information on this website. Service descriptions, availability and starting prices are general information, not a binding offer. Carpet cleaning is advertised from £55 per carpeted room. The final price depends on the agreed scope, materials, condition, access, location and timing.
You may use the website for lawful personal or business enquiries. You must not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorised access, send malicious material or use the quote forms for false or abusive requests.
3. Quotes and bookings
A website form or telephone enquiry is a request for information, not a confirmed booking. We may ask questions or request photographs before providing a quote.
A contract is formed when we confirm the service, scope, price and appointment and you accept that confirmation. If the situation or scope is materially different on arrival, we will explain any change to the proposed work or price before continuing. You do not have to accept additional work.
4. What you need to tell us
Please give accurate information about the property, affected area, materials if known, access, parking, risks, previous treatments and anything else that may affect the work. For emergency or specialist cleaning, tell us whether the source of water, contamination or pest activity has been stopped and whether anybody may be at risk.
Please provide safe and reasonable access at the agreed time, secure pets and fragile items, and follow any preparation instructions included with the booking.
5. How we provide the service
We provide services with reasonable care and skill. The proposed method is based on the information available and the condition observed. Cleaning results vary with material, age, wear, colour loss, permanent staining, previous treatments and damage. We will not promise removal of a mark or odour where that outcome cannot reasonably be guaranteed.
If a service cannot safely be completed as planned, we may pause, change or decline that part of the work. We will explain the reason and discuss the practical options with you.
6. Price and payment
The confirmed quote will explain the agreed price and scope. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, extra work is not included. Payment is due at the time and by the method stated in the booking confirmation or invoice.
If no exact price has been agreed, consumer law requires a reasonable price. Nothing in these terms removes that protection.
7. Appointment changes and cancellations
Please tell us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an appointment. If we have clearly agreed a cancellation charge before the booking, it will be limited to a reasonable amount reflecting costs or losses that we cannot avoid. We will not use a cancellation charge as a penalty.
If we need to change an appointment because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, we will contact you and offer a suitable alternative. If no reasonable alternative can be agreed, either party may cancel the affected service.
8. Distance and off-premises contracts
If you are a consumer and the contract is agreed online, by telephone or away from our business premises, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason. Exceptions can apply.
If you ask us to begin during the cancellation period and later cancel, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work already supplied. If the service is fully performed during that period after your express request and acknowledgement, the cancellation right may end. Contact us promptly if you want to cancel so we can explain the position for your booking.
9. Complaints and putting things right
If you believe something is wrong, tell us as soon as reasonably possible and give us a fair opportunity to inspect the issue. Where the service does not meet the agreed standard, your legal remedies may include repeat performance or an appropriate price reduction.
You can contact info@cleanthatcarpet.co.uk or call 020 3837 4903. We will review the booking details and respond as soon as we reasonably can.
10. Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that could not reasonably have been foreseen when the contract was made, or for pre-existing damage, ordinary wear, colour loss or a problem caused by inaccurate or withheld information.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
If you arrange a service wholly for business purposes, we are not responsible for indirect loss, loss of profit, revenue, business or opportunity, except where the law does not allow that limit.
11. Personal information
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Please only provide information that is relevant to the enquiry or work.
12. Third-party links
The website may link to other websites for convenience. We do not control their content, security or privacy practices and are not responsible for them.
13. Changes to these terms
The terms that apply to a booking are those provided or available when the contract is formed. We may update the website terms for future use, but we will not change an existing contract without a lawful reason and reasonable notice.
14. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you keep any mandatory rights to bring a claim in your home courts.
